I have just recently graduated from the University of the West of England, having completed a BA(Hons) in Interior Design.

I enjoy using narrative and sustainability to drive my design ideas forward. As well as design I am passionate about history and enjoy bringing aspects of history into my designs where I can. Sustainability is something that is really important to me due to the urgency to make our planet carbon negative. To achieve sustainability in my designs, I strive to use the idea of vernacular design in my projects; to minimise carbon footprint and create meaning, as well as helping local businesses to thrive.
MY STORY
Interiors have always piqued my interest, from an early age my parents would always involve me in different DIY projects that they were working on. I loved to give my input and be heard!

PROCESSES
As every designer does, I always start with the research, but I am always naturally drawn towards the history of a site. There is always something interesting to be found, and that something can usually be applied in some abstract or conceptual modern way to the building. Visiting the site helps me to gage what vibe I get from the building and surrounding area and usually gives you an idea what would sit well and how you can work with what you have been given. I use conceptual abstract drawings and models to get my creativity flowing, this helps me to visualise the space and decide how the space will look. I consider the sustainability a paramount throughout my design process, it is so important to thoroughly understand the impact your design will have on the environment. Of course the clients needs are above all else and my designs strive to satisfy the client while pushing them to discover their own style.
