The Greenhouse
An urban approach to a community garden, a place to learn about sustainability and becoming self-sufficient. The Greenhouse represents the layers of a tree, with every floor representing a different section of a tree. This ties in with the rich history of thr buildings past and symbolises how it is rooted in situ, in Kingsdown, Bristol

PAVILION
A pavilion with a modular form inspired by the arched shape found in the eaves of Temple Church Tower, Bristol. I took the shape and 'relaxed' it over a mould. The relaxed concept came from the atmosphere of the site which was a safe haven in the middle of busy Bristol city centre.

BRAND
A flagship store created for a small independent store, which draws the customer through a series of 'rooms without walls' by leading them through a tunnel of sustainable, raw materials. The concept was drawn from a linear fan shape that I found in the surrounding built environment. The shape carried through from the shop floor layout, to the lighting design.

DOM- INO
This house was based on the clients background. Their home town in Mexico was a poor area without much skillmanship for architecture. So they essentially extended as and when they needed. He found beauty in this as it was raw, unique and left it's own mark. From this research came my concept of expansion which I applied to the house, by rotating a floor to create double height space, without actually extending on the original plans.

HEART OF THE HOME
This project was based on a competition brief that was finding a solution to mutligenerational living. My response was to open up 2 terraced houses to create one big semi-detached house that revolved around the heart of the home - the kitchen. It is a flexible living space which accomodated changing times, such as working from home due to the pandemic. It incorporated an atrium into the ceiling above the kitchen to make the whole house feel connected to the kitchen at all times.
